The department aims to make sure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are enrolled, engaged and achieving in school, progressing at the same rate as non-Indigenous students and making successful transitions through the stages of learning.
Giving students a culturally inclusive learning environment is an important part of this process.
