Crossing Cultures is a professional development program for school teachers and staff looking at the history of Australia from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective.

Increasing knowledge among school staff of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories is an important part of improving learning outcomes for Indigenous students.

The Crossing Cultures program has two workshops:

Crossing Cultures workshops ensure participants know why it is important to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in education, and how to do this.

The Crossing Cultures program is a precursor to the Embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives in Schools (EATSIPS) process and a key initiative of the Solid Partners Solid Futures action plan.
